To worship God by celebrating His creation (nature) thru art with brush and canvas is one of the greatest privileges I know. Just to gain a glimpse of the invisible attributes of His character is at once uplifting, and also an endless adventure of discovery. Painting in a fashion that might be called "landscape expressionism", my goal isn't to present a literal interpretation of the subject matter. In contrast, my goal is to represent the "mark" of the artist; not only in content, but in form: a brushstroke, a pencil mark, an imprint, or a splash of color that hopefully portrays an emotional response to what is before us. Painting is a never ending journey of trial and error, learning and growing...as in life...
